"I thank ULC for giving me the opportunity to work with the children. The experience is very rewarding and positive. I love it when I am arrive at the school in the morning and all the children are waiting for you in the playground to say "Good morning teacher, how are you?" and they are running to you take your hand to lead you to the class while another girls are helping you with the school material. These children came to Malaysia without anything but clothes on their back. They escape in the most frightening conditions from Myanmar, now they have a dream and they never give up. This is what I love most about them. That they don't have any money but they are always smiling, helping each others, paying attention at the class because they want to became a qualified professionals – doctors, lawyers, teachers - to build their home country in the future. Each time I visit the centre, there is always new lessons for me to learn. I looked around and I see that sometimes we are complaining about silly things when we have everything in our hands. The Myanmar children never complain even if they don't know when is their next meal coming from.As I have been doing some extra-curricular activities, I have seen how joyful they are even with simple activities like going to KLCC, swimming in my apartment’s pool or play on the swings, I can say that their positive attitude have big influence on me and I learn to show gratitude from them.I only can encourage people to join ULC to be part of this wonderful experience"
