"Undoubtedly, the time I spent at the United Learning Center was one of the most valuable experiences I have ever had in my life time.Coming face to face with the children at the United Learning Center, ULC, I encountered an overwhelming amount of emotion, awareness, and motivation. It touched my heart to see that despite the adversity they have faced, these Myanmar refugee children beam everyday with a vivid hunger for knowledge and a warm, energetic smile.It is an immensely fulfilling feeling, one cannot perfectly describe with just words, to understand that my actions, my words, or my simple presence, could impact these children's lives. The thought of the time we spend together-filled with laughs and surges of learning- imprinting their lives with joyful memories, shaping their lives, no matter how seemingly small, makes me feel so content. It is an utmost treasure to know that you can make a difference and take a part in letting the children grow up to be educated, engaging members of society.I will never forget my time at the center. The memories I made here I will take with me forever and will be the burning inspiration I have to be a valuable, productive member of this society. And whenever I do return to Malaysia, I will come rushing to ULC center doors, eager to make my part.Thank you again for this life-changing opportunity."
